Steve Iverson's CULTTVMAN Media has reprinted the StarFleet Assembly Manuals, a combined collection of all three SFAM's by Paul Newitt. These show how to improve all of the Star Trek kits out there with improved techniques and upgrades such as working lighting.

This is a reprint of the first three StarFleet Assembly Manuals with additional new material. Newitt provided the original negatives for the books, so these look as good, if not better than the originals. You can throw your pirated copies away! The book is a small format (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" / 22 x 14 cm) softcover on bond stock. The illustrations are B&W and consist of photographs, line drawings and schematics.

StarFleet Assembly Manual 1 covers the basic construction of the AMT 18" Enterprise, everything from removing the parts from the sprue, to gluing, puttying and sanding. This is a good primer for building models.

StarFleet Assembly Manual 2 features the AMT Klingon and Romulan models. Additionally, it features basic lighting and simulating battle damage.

StarFleet Assembly Manual 3 returns to the Enterprise with advanced building, painting and lighting. It shows how to install electronics, as well as accurately detail the kit.

All three books also feature bits of "real" Trek technology.
